bio of bungalogic

I graduated from Brigham Young University-Hawaii with a Bachelor of Arts. My emphasis was on sculpture. I love photography, watercolor painting and making videos. Recently I have been finger drawing on my iPhone. That has been a lot of fun.   I  had my own little design business when I was living Hawaii but that wasn't as fruitful as I had hoped.  I still do a little freelance design here and there.

I have always wanted to be an artist for a living. But it is very difficult to do that alone. So now I work a steady job. And in my spare time I pursue my artistic endeavors.  I currently am living in Japan. I work in Tokyo.

My own thoughts and philosophy on art is that I do not believe in bad art. All art is created for a reason. And that reason is up to the creator himself. Art is used to communicate feelings, thoughts and emotion. Though some art may not be aesthetically pleasing to the eye I feel it is important to move beyond that and think, "What does the work say to me? What is the artist expressing?". If you can answer those questions in your mind than the artist has communicated with you. If it is difficult to figure that out... well than that doesn't mean the art is bad, it only means that the artist and you may not be on same wave length. What we perceive as art is different to each of us. You can't say a work is horrible because though you may not understand it the next person probably will.  This is why I feel that all art is good or interesting in it's own way.

I enjoy the process of creation. I love to think things through and search for the meaning. I paint and take photos with the feelings in my heart.  Art is release from the stress and the day to day monotony of living.

Please enjoy my artwork and thank you for visiting.  If you do like what you see please visit me on Facebook or Twitter and be a part of my art.
